Alpaca Dreams is a small alpaca farm about 40 miles NE of Raleigh. We named our farm for what we had....a dream to own and live with alpacas in our retirement years. They are so gentle and curious....just being around them seems to make life feel gentle. Our dream is to eventually take our alpacas to school, nursing homes, and other places where we can share these wonderful creatures.
A good friend of ours, Barbara Page, wrote an article about our retirement dream to raise alpacas. She submitted it to Farm & Ranch Living Magazine and they published her article in their Feb/March 2015 edition.
The editor of the magazine, Robin Hoffman, kindly provided us with a PDF of the article so we could post it on our website. We hope you enjoy reading it....just click on the link below.
If you are familiar with our alpacas, that is Esme on the first page, after being sheared. And that is Reggie 'talking' with Sarah over the fence. Aren't they cuties (the alpacas :-) !
We have alot of visitors to our farm and next to the picture of Reggie & Sarah are a couple of the girls from the Brownie troop that visited. If you would like to come out and visit just call (919.340.0070) or email us (alpacadreamsnc@gmail.com). Or, if you just want to shop at our gift shop just let us know and we'll open it for you.
A Big Thanks to Barb Page and Farm & Ranch Living magazine!
