Annie is a lovely light fawn female with great genetics, wonderful fleece, and a gentle disposition.
Annie's sire is Kings Highway St. Thomas Becket, the son of Garrision, winner of nine championship banners and sixteen blue ribbons. Annie's dam is Lady Mary Boelyn, a PPPeruvian Cahuide daughter.
Annie's fleece is lovely. A carmelly light fawn with a soft handle.
Annie has a soft and beautiful face. She has a super friendly demeanor and would make an excellent PR alpaca, foundation female, or pet. Annie has an innate curiosity about people and will approach humans to investigate what you are doing. She also loves being touched. She is sweet, sociable and does well with young children. She has an inquisitive manner. She tends to not shy away from hands. She is a bit submissive in her herd group, but that is most likely due to her gentleness.
Annie has never been bred, however her dam Mary has produced some fantastic cria and is a very attentive mother providing plenty of milk. We expect Annie to be a similar dam.
Annie is working on halter training and so far is doing well on the lead. We train her in short sessions daily. This is the best way to make certain the alpaca do well in all settings.
So far Annie has never been in the show ring but her fleece has been in the 2014 Green Mountain Fleece Show and the judge's comments were as follows: "Soft handle fleece, with nice brightness and staple growth."
