Our Peruvian Alibi

Spirited and alert, Alibi represents all that is excellence in the Suri alpaca. She hails from a high-quality lineage that includes her sire - Sergeant Major Jax (PPeruvian Juan son) and 6Peruvian Nutmeg.

Alibi is our alpha female in the field. She sounds the alarm when appropriate and alerts her herd mates of danger. She is a little nervous around humans, but mostly cooperative with her other herd mates. She can sometimes be aggressive to the more docile females.

Alibi's fleece has a nice bay black color with a flat loc, and medium luster.

One of Alibi's best qualities is motherhood. She is a fantastic dam, an easy breeder and excellent mother. After having given almost effortless birth to her first four crias we highly recommend her for any breeding program. Her first four crias are:

Torbio's Quest (2007), standing stud at Zenith Alpacas;

HOM Ulixes (2008), a Senor Peruvian Protocol son

HOM Durango's Sweet Caroline (2009), now residing at Benchmark Alpacas.

HOM Jaguar(2010), out of Sgt. Pepper, resides at our farm.

All of Alibi's offspring have flourished with the prodigious volume of milk she provides. Her latest cria, Jaguar, from Sgt. Pepper, may be her best effort yet. She is healthy and would ideally product at least half a dozen more outstanding crias on the right farm.

Because of closely related genetics in our herd, we are willing to trade similar quality Suris for Huacayas to maintain a purely Huacaya herd. If you are interested in Alibi, please give us a call today.
