Alpacas of Kansas is a mother-daughter team who care for our animals and enjoy the help of other family members. We appreciate the connection we have with nature and with our animals.
Our goal is to raise healthy Huacaya alpacas while improving the quality of their fiber with each breeding. We support the development of sustainable family farms and commercial textile production from U.S.-grown alpaca products.
We bought our first few alpacas in 2008. Our goal is to raise healthy Huacayas with uniform, consistent high-quality fiber that is well suited for use by fiber artists and commercial processors. We believe that a viable U.S. fiber market must include commercial production and its accompanying quality controls.
In addition to the alpacas, we have Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs, a sweet Chocolate lab, and several cats. In our spare time, we enjoy camping, hiking, and reading.
