   About Andresen Acres Alpacas

Alpacas have become a family business at Andresen Acres with one goal, raising high quality Huacaya alpacas with fine fleece. We have a herd of over 20 alpacas, including award winning animals. Andresen Acres was first started by Norm and Noreen Andresen.

Our professional backgrounds are in management, software development, and project management. We have worked at public utilities and software companies. Our combined experiences give us a logical and straight-forward approach to running a business. Our award winning alpacas are the result of a carefully thought out breeding program. Each new generation is an improvement on the previous one. .

Our alpacas have fine fleece with beautiful crimp and amazing softness. Our success is based on our foundation females and the excellent herdsires we have chosen. We have world-class bloodlines including Golden Medallion (a hemingway son co-owned with Silver Rose Ranch), NWA/Line Romeo (son of 4PPeruvian Pachacuti), PCA Hemingway-Accoyo Nautilus, NWA/Line Artero, and MSA Hemingways Tequila.

At Andresen Acres, we feel our commitment to our customers begins with the first contact. We will always be there for you to answer questions and help you in any way that we can.

We also have an alpaca Boutique an an annual Mother's Day Open House.

Our annual Mother's Day Open House is a unique event and a great way to see these wonderful animals first hand. Alpacas have a wide range of colors, quality of fiber, and can be hobby farm pets to show-winning caliber. Visitors to our farm can come by and get their hands on the alpacas, feel their fiber, and see some of the beautiful finished products that can be made from alpaca fiber.

Alpacas produce a soft fleece that is ideal for spinning, knitting, and other hand crafts. We have a variety of rovings, bats, and finished products in our Boutique. Alpaca makes for wonderful finished products like yarn, clothing, and more. Alpaca fiber is softer, finer, more lustrous, stronger and warmer than sheeps wool giving finished products a luxurious feel without the bulkiness of wool. Most people who are allergic to wool can wear alpaca comfortably. Come visit our farm and stop by our Boutique.

Alpacas are valuable livestock and excellent for small farms -they don t need much acreage and are easy on pastures and fences, said Norm Andresen of Andresen Acres Alpacas. Owning alpacas can be a wonderful family business and provide a relaxing lifestyle. Alpacas also make great pets, 4-H projects, and investment incomes.

We are always happy to discuss alpacas and the alpaca business. We welcome you to come and visit Andresen Acres and see for yourself.
