Valura is an amazing white proven female with solid conformation, elite fleece characteristics and a gentle personality. Valura's 2012 micron backs up her "elite" fleece status with ADF of 15.8. Valura comes with a "powerhouse" of genetics, with both sides of her pedigree producing Champions!
Valura's sire, Quechua's Verticase, an Elite son of the late Snowmass Quechua, was a Champion Producer and Get of Sire Winner himself. Norm Evans' skin biopsy showed Verticase's density to be 110 follicles/sq mm, which is of the charts and the densest male ever biopsied! Upon reviewing Verticase's pedigree, you will find the names of most of the top Herdsires in U.S. history Peruvian Hemingway, PPeruvian Caligula, 6Peruvian Accoyo Elite, Snowmass Ccatanca, and PPeruvian Vengador. Sadly, Verticase passed away this past spring, and with fewer than 80 registered offspring, this makes his offspring -- particularly his daughters -- more coveted than ever.
Valura's dam, Amarula is a Champion out of Champions and has held status as a top foundation female, producing show crias year after year. And Valura is no exception, having placed 2nd in the highly competitive white class at the 2012 Michigan International Alpaca Show and 2nd place at the 2013 CABO Show.
Valura gave birth to her first cria, BB Farm'a Angelina, in October of 2015. She has proven to be a reliable mother and she is currently bred to WGA Supernatural by Nexxus, who is owned by Bluebird Farm Alpacas. Her due date is June 9, 2017.
