Aragorn is a ribbon winning jr. herdsire out of champion full AccoyoAmerica Narcissus, who maintained exceptional fine fleece until age 11, and is still a terrific breeder. On his Dam's side he has strong lineage as well with Peruvian Hemingway and NWA, LTD Haldane.
Aragorn's fleece is dark fawn with a bold crimp, some bundling, good density and outstanding luster/brightness. His current micron is between 18 and 20. A Spinoff Judge said " A lovely yarn with great color. Suitable for just about anything." He is not quite as fine as we had hoped, but he will still make a great herdsire or fiber animal.
Aragorn has perfect conformation with straight legs, proportionate body, and correct bite. He is truly a beautiful male and will make a great herdsire. He is currently ready to begin breeding. He is halter trained and goes to PR events regularly.
Personality wise he a pretty typical male alpacas. He can be a bit of a charmer with the public. Aragorn is also curious about his surroundings, a little dramatic when first haltered, but then does fine on a lead rope. He enjoys visitors but does not like to be touched. Aragorn is just fine behavior wise with other males around his age. They hang out together most of the time.
Aragorn is a ribbon winner bringing home a 2nd place win in his color and age group in 2015 at the Great Western Alpaca Show Spinoff. His fleece received 96 out of 100 possible points.
With great lineage, fleece, and personality, Aragorn is ready to enhance any breeding or fiber program.
