His sire, Columbia Mist Elberto's Maximilian, is from our own bred and raised herdsire, El Nino's Elberto. on his father's side the genetics also include Hemimgway, Microsoft and Caligula. His sire, Elberto's Maximilian, was in the top 1% in SL, 2% in FW & SD, 8% SF, 10% AFD and 15% in >30M and Curvature at his 2nd shearing just before his untimely passing.

His dam, Elizabeth Scott, is a Vengador daughter and the granddaughter of Camilio. Her 2013 EPDS showed her to be in the top 1% of % med, 2% for >30m, 5% for AFD, 6% Curvature and Top 7% for SF.

His 2014 fiber sort showed Grade 1-2 Secondaries and Grade 2-3 Primaries, 8.5 out of 10 on brightness, 4 out of 5 for density, 7 out of 8 for uniformity of micron with moderate amplitude, medium 6-7 crimps per inch, 4 out of 5 for handle and 8 out of 10 for lack of guard hair. He had 38.0 oz. of WL 1-2 on his blanket and 25.1 oz. WL 1-2 of sorted fiber on his neck. Sorter commented that his fleece had a soft hand and uniform S/P.

Max Jr's EPD Results - 2016 If you are looking for a male that is in the top 1% and off the charts for staple length and need to improve Fleece weight, lack of medulation, fibers under 30M, lower fineness and spin fineness as well as uniformity in your crias, as well as phenotype, you need to purchase Max Jr.

Whether you are interested in purchasing high quality alpacas for breeding, show, fiber or selecting a herd sire to breed to, you should use Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs) as your most important selection tool in addition to evaluating phenotype and genetics. Our herd has some of the highest EPD accuracy ratings due to breeding some of the best genetics and due to the shear number of these genetics in the EPD database. Consequently you can also increase the probability of creating ideal offspring with up to 95% accuracy. Contact us to learn more about us.
