Gina is a striking silver grey Deacon Grey daughter with nice conformation, lovely fleece and produces quality cria - gorgeous rich greys when bred to a grey herdsire.

Gina's sire is the famous 14x Champion grey hersire - Deacon Grey. Her lineage also includes: Reverend Mr. Black (outstanding true black herdsire), Peruvian Bueno, and PPeruvian Caligula. On her dam's side, Gina also brings ancestry on her dam's side from the Patagonia Ranch in Chile.

Gina's fleece is super fine and a very beautiful rich grey color. You can feel her fineness (her 2011 AFD was 18.2). Her fleece has a smooth and buttery feel to it. She has an even crimp that is wide, with a medium density. Overall her fleece is consistent and fine. Annually, her fleece is processed into rovings and yarns. Her color makes her fleece a favorite with spinners and knitters alike, and sells out fast.

Gina will produce gorgeous grey cria when bred to a grey herdsire. To date, Gina has had one female cria (out of a dark silver grey male). ROFA Silverado was born 6/11/2013 and is light grey. She has not yet been show. Gina also put her striking face on her daughter and overall, her line produces more females then males. Gina's mother as had eight cria and of them, only 3 were males.

Gina is a great mother, very nurturing, and bonds quickly with her cria. She is very protective of her cria and will get in your face to see what you are doing with her cria. She hums loudly until you are done with her cria, but is not aggressive toward humans or her herdmates.

Gina has strong conformation. She is long legged and narrow in the front with straight front legs. She looks more like a rectangle then a square, but she is balanced. The most striking part of her is her face with the black around her eyes. Gina's weight is approximately 145lbs. Her body score would be 4 out of 5.

Gina has a calm personality but likes to be in the middle of everything and is always watching. She will give an alarm to the herd if there is something or someone she does not know in the pasture as well as outside of it. As for humans, she is easy to lead, is halter trained, and easy to work with and give shots to. She will stand still if you rub her neck with the back of your hand.

Overall, Gina would be a great addition to any herd wanting the superior Deacon Grey genetics, and lovely fleece. She is ready to breed and can be bred to your choice of one of our herdsires - we plan to breed her to our outstanding rose grey male in 2016 WantSome. Give us a call today if you are interested in Gina!
