Tiger Eye is the color of a Tiger's Eye...shiny, coppery brown. At a year old, he has a beautiful Suri head and strong conformation with well-defined, lustrous locks. His genetics are more than impressive. His grand-sire is Diamonte of PVA, the Multiple Champion Herdsire of the Year who is now closed to outside breedings. And Tiger is showing the same personality traits as his Uncle, Jasper Alpaca-who is the first alpaca registered as a Delta society animal therapist....he is sweet and well-behaved and does not shy away from human contact.
Tiger Eye's paternal sire, grandsire and great grandsire Masterlock of PVA, Keanu of PVA and PVA Mahogany Prince, respectively, are an impressive line of some of the most predictable suris in the country. Prince was one of the original "Legendary Suri Herdsires" and remains one of the Highest Selling Suri Males -- public or private sales in the country. "Prince" is a dark fawn, Full Peruvian, Domestic born, he is third generation color on his dam's side. He has lock and luster from head to toe! Big heavy bones and great coverage. Exceptional conformation and nick named "The Headmaster" for his ability to stamp nice typey heads on his crias. He has produced all colors from blacks, browns, fawns, whites, and yes even GREY! "Prince" has sired over 140 crias to date, 100% suri cria, 90% colored, 60% females. So far he has sired over 81 award winning offspring, nice percentage huh? His progeny combined have won over 295 ribbons & his grandprogeny have earned an amazing 500 ribbons! Many of his offspring have grown up and proven to be "Get of Sire" and "Produce of Dam" Champions.
Diamonte of PVA, Tiger Eye's maternal grandsire is a nine time consecutive CHAMPION at AOBA certified shows and went on to win SUPREME Champion at the the 2006 International Alpaca Odyssey -competing against all color categories. Diamonte now has 46 offspring on the ground, many of which are solid black or brown. With ribbon winning Bolivian, Chilean and Accoyo genetics, Tiger Eye would be an excellent up and coming Suri herdsire . A great addition to any herd!
